Corrections Policy

We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we want to know, and we fix it.

What we commit to

If you find an error on this site — a misstated figure, a misread study, an outdated recommendation, a broken link to a source — tell us and we will look into it promptly.

When a correction changes the meaning of what we published, we add a dated note to the article saying what was wrong and what we changed. Substantive corrections are labelled as corrections; we do not quietly rewrite a piece and hope nobody noticed. If our error could have affected a health decision someone made, they deserve to see that it was an error.

Small fixes — typos, formatting, a link that has moved — we simply repair without a note.

When research moves

Bone health research changes, and an article that was accurate in 2019 may not be accurate now. That is not an error, but it is worth marking. When we revise a piece to reflect new evidence, we update its date and, where the change is significant, note what shifted.

How to report an error

Email center@betterbones.com with the article title and what you believe is wrong. A link to a source is helpful but not required — if something reads wrong to you, that is reason enough to tell us.

We read every message. You will hear back from us.
